Have about 500-600 rounds through it, never a problem. I had a Kimber Custom TLE/RL 10mm. Like the other Kimbers that I had, they were all decent 1911's. They are definitely better, out of the box, than any Colt Govt, Combat Commander, and Delta Elite 1911's that I have ever owned. Allow the slide to move forward at full speed by pushing down on the slide stop. If the first round out of the mag feeds fine, the extractor is the problem. It has incorrect geometry, too much deflection, too much tension, or all three.

It's a 1911. All the controls are in the right places, the grip fills the hand nicely and the little touches like an adjustable rear sight, beaver tail grip safety and super-smooth trigger elevate this gun from standard to exquisite. And then there is the idea of shooting it. Some people don't like the 10mm. I'm not one of them.

Jul 14, 2017 · Hello Atlas, I've owned a Kimber Eclipse in 10MM, a Delta, and other 10s. I much preferred the Kimber in 10MM, with the ramped barrel and very well supported chamber, over the Delta. Still think the Eclipse was one of the best looking 1911 type guns I ever had. But you're certainly right about people not having the best to say about Kimbers.

I like the round butt on the Camp Guard but the Raptor is a classic in the Kimber lineup. stockmaker, Rustyaa55, Oklahomabound and 2 others.I have 3 Kimber 10mms. A Custom Eclipse II, a Custom TLE II and a Camp Guard 10. The Eclipse and the TLE were bought new and have run 100%. The Camp Guard I bought used but it looked like it was hardly fired. The salesman told me the guy traded it in on another Kimber. At one time I thought Kimber was the top of the food chain, I really did have pride of ownership with them!Step 3- Shoot More Than 400 Rounds: Weapons with metal frames, like the Kimber, have fittings with precise tolerances.
