Chevy tahoe won't start.

Turn the key on. Dash lights come on. Turn to Start = nothing (no crank)! Try 5 or 6 times and maybe it'll start. Runs fine after that...but it's a crapshoot if it'll start again. May go weeks before this happens again. Hi guys, new to the Tahoe and I have a strange problem. The truck sat for awhile and the battery went flat. I put it on a charger and it would only come up to 11.5 volts. I hooked my jumper box to it to supply extra juice and nothing. I turn the key and nothing comes on. The dash doesn't light up, the radio doesn't come on and it won't crank.

The P615 is a starter circuit and the P17-B0 which is what i think you have put there is transmission range module circuit low. So the scan is pointing to a problem with the starting system and the range selector. The FSM says to try starting in Neutral first as the BCM is getting the information that something is wrong is park.
