If it's nice and thin it might be better. BUT cervixes can thin out very quickly with nice contractions. Hard to say. With my first I was 4cm dilated and 80%effaced for 2 weeks. With this little guy I just had I was 2cm 60% at 36 week and 3cm60% at 37weeks 3days.
